The research topic that I have found myself focusing on is very real for me in my current situation.
- ICT integration of BYOD's into schools. How to monitor and support teacher motivation, attitude, confidence and pedagogy.
I have mainly found and been reading articles around ICT integration as a whole. There is not a lot of research around about the sole implementation of BYOD's but more about ICT in general. I have found so far that the pros and cons of ICT integration can be applied to any technology that is being implemented.
I have many questions around the subject especially in the areas of teacher, experience, attitude, motivation, confidence and pedagogy.
- How are these identified and monitored?
- What professional development is/has been put in place to help teachers?
- What is the best course of action for professional development in schools?
ICT integration is a complex issue that affects both personal, institutional and regional areas.
In my context we have many factors contributing both positively and negatively to the implementation of BYOD's in two classrooms which we began at the beginning of this year.
